Strengthening Reproductive Health and Empowerment of Young Women in Tanzania

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and in cooperation with Tanzanian health ministries, implements the SRHEYW project in Tanga Region from July 2026 to June 2029. The project targets adolescent girls, young women, and vulnerable groups with aims to improve reproductive autonomy, maternal and neonatal health services, and access to sexual and reproductive health information and services. It involves youth clubs, community dialogue, behaviour change campaigns, and support for civil society organizations. The financing is by the European Union.
