Documents your forwarder will handle

Most African destinations require these before cargo moves; a good provider prepares them with you.

  • Cargo tracking note (ECTN · BSC · CTN) — Mandatory for 25+ African countries (Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Nigeria…); must be validated before the vessel sails.
  • Commercial invoice — Value, Incoterm and HS codes used by customs at destination.
  • Packing list — Pieces, weights and dimensions per package.
  • Certificate of origin — Needed for preferential duties and many import regimes.
  • Bill of lading / air waybill — Transport contract issued by the carrier or forwarder.
  • Insurance certificate — Covers cargo loss or damage door to door.
